MUSIC IDEAS FOR PRETEEN/TEEN MUSICAL THEATER NUMBERS

You can’t have a successful musical theatre curriculum without its most important element ….the MUSIC!

Let’s get the new season started with some ideas to get your creativity and ideas flowing. Below are some of my favorite musical choices for preteen musical theatre students. This of course is just a sampling, but they are fun and sure to be a hit!

Remember, to always think outside of the box and take chances! And most of all, have fun! The best musical theatre dancers will always be those who have full knowledge of the show, book, score, history and technique/style and truly feel what the songs and stories are trying to convey!

Good luck,

See you in the dance studio,

Jess-
