Born Samantha Jo Moore on March 28, 1976, in St. Louis, Missouri, Mandy Moore grew up in Summit County, Colorado. She is the daughter of Bob and Wendy Moore and has one sister. From a young age, Moore showed a keen interest in the performing arts. She started dancing at the age of 7 and never looked back.
Throughout her school years, she was not only devoted to dance but also participated in sports such as basketball, track, and gymnastics. Her passion and talent in dance led her to attend several prestigious schools, including the Summit School of Dance, Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School & Camp, Shelly True Dance Academy, and EDGE Performing Arts Center.
After graduating high school in 1994, Moore moved to Los Angeles on a scholarship from the Summit Foundation, determined to pursue her dreams in the dance and entertainment industry.
Professional Career
Mandy Moore's professional career is as diverse as it is impressive. She began her career in television, working closely with Carrie Ann Inaba.
