Dance Studio Owners, here you go…

Your Season is underway!

As the Dance Studio Owner there is always some challenge that you will be faced with during the course of your season. Not all of them are negative. It may just be the need to change the way your business operates. Some may just need your attention to iron out a few more details.

Sometimes to set your season in the right direction you will need to tweak your business GPS to get things going the right way. You may also uncover some great new ideas that you stumble upon just by having an open mind or by doing some research.

Be the inquisitive Dance Studio Owner...

If you seek, thee shall find! Below are some key questions to ask yourself here in the early part of the season to uncover any potential issues that may be approaching or to find a better way of doing what you do.

Overall, how are things going so far?

What can we do better?

What issue, if any, have come up?

Are there any classes that need a boost in attendance?

What current customers can we upsell additional classes to?

Which students have not come back and what is the plan to reach out to them?

What marketing objectives do we have for the next 3-months?

Do our customers know about and understand our referral program?

Can we do a better job of promoting our referral program to our current costumers?

How is the front desk staff performing?

Is our faculty ready and full of enthusiasm?

These questions should get you thinking. Early in the season it is a great time for discovery. By doing a little digging you can find out all kinds of information that you can use to make your business better.

We do this every year and find some valuable information that we can use moving forward. Some ideas are too late to implement this season but I recommend you keep a journal of ideas that you can roll out next year. Even after 37-years we always seem to find something.

If there is one thing, I would tell anyone to help their business to thrive it would be that you MUST embrace change. I know, change can be a bit scary and may even be uncomfortable. But in the environment of change is where magical things happen. Change brings a fresh outlook to everyone on your team and your customers as well. Once you go forth with the belief that change is not only healthy but good for your businesses. You will look for opportunities to find and use change to your advantage
