Greetings Everyone. I'm thrilled to be able to present you with motivation and inspiration. My short weekly posts are designed to give you the "Motivational Lift" you might be needing. Please enjoy!
Patience...do you have it?
Although I often hate to generalize, one thing us New York City folk are known for is a severe lack of patience. In a fast paced often crazy place like Manhattan, things need to happen at mach speed...or else! It's taken me a long time to realize that life is rarely like that.
What exactly is a lack of patience? It's when things don't happen when YOU want them to. If we all got what we wanted when we wanted it, things would be even crazier than they are now. Consider the possibility that things happen when they are SUPPOSED to happen. End of story.
So what's your involvement in that process? Set your intent for what you want to happen. Ask and you’ll eventually get what you’ve asked for. Want more students? Set your intent for that to happen. Want to find quality teachers to add to your current staff? Set your intent. Feel and know that this is possible, no matter what negative stuff your mind-chatter might tell you. Then, rather than wanting it to happen when YOU think it's best...get out of the way and let it come to you in ITS time and not YOURS. Simple, right? Not for this New Yorker but even this guy knows that there's a whole lot of truth to that very real axiom.
I believe everything happens for a reason. Although it isn’t always easy, I choose to trust and have faith. As difficult as it might be for me to believe, I do know that my wishes will be granted when they are supposed to...and not a moment sooner. I have to ask for it, but then I always need to remember to stand out of the way and let my wish be brought to me in its own time and it’s up to me to be OK with that part of the process. And ya don't even have to be from good 'ol NYC to know and realize that!!!:):)
