A native of Mt. Airy, North Carolina, Matthew began his training under his mother's instruction. He went on to complete his education at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and then the Rock School of the Pennsylvania Ballet. Upon completion, he joined the Kansas City Ballet where he performed for ten seasons. He now resides in NYC performing as a dancer, an actor, and a clown. An established teacher, he has taught across the country, and is now in his third year with DValda and Sirico Dance and Music Centre. Matthew is passionate about instructing the next generation of dancers, and always works to bring the joy and humor of dance to his students.
